Cat Survives Death Twice

In West Valley City, Utah a stray cat name Andrea survived death twice. After 30 days of not being adopted by anyone, the animal shelter where she was staying decided to put her to death in October. Though they tried by gassing her, she survived. They decided to try again, and when they found no vital signs, they put her in a plastic bag in the cooler. When they went back to check the bag, they found that she was still alive. She had vomited on herself and she had hypothermia. They stopped making attempts at trying to kill Andrea. They thought that "it was just one of those things where they thought this cat obviously really wants to live, so let's give it a chance to find a permanent home." Andrea has been adopted and the shelter is trying to find out why the gassing failed.

I think that this is awful but amazing at the same time. These people relentlessly tried killing this innocent cat, and failed. I am incredibly glad that they did, so that Andrea could have exactly what she needed; a permanent home with people who love her.

  1. well this cat is pretty old its amazing it has live to 30 years that in itself is unusual so you have to realize that this cat may have various health problems that may be causing it pain so instead of letting it suffer they decided to put it down i find it a miracle that the cat is still alive after 30 years. and there are other reason for the shelter to put her down but i'm not going to even get into that.

  2. Awh, that's very awesome, cat's really do have nine lives.
But seriously. The human race makes me sick. What did the cat even do? It was homeless? Would people gas a child who couldn't get adopted? People make me sick.
